‘Seasons change’
Of all the seasons, autumn is my favourite. I’m fascinated by the intense colours of the trees and plants as they change to give one final flourish before the onset of winter.
Autumn days that are cloudy, wet and windy but with an occasional bright spell are a source of fascination to me.
The change in colours as the clouds break, letting a burst of sunlight through that seems to cheer up the plants, who respond by intensifying their colours, showing off like a peacock fans its tail.
The result of this is a landscape that changes constantly and an urge to capture each individual moment in paint.
I have been painting professionally now for over ten years and never tire of looking for the change in colour, capturing that moment in time that can never be repeated.
This exhibition includes some of my favourite places in those captured moments.
